This is the BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT. We have been plagued with 5-10 robocalls/spam calls daily. Even on Sat and Sun and starting at 8am and going until 9pm at night. I was to the breaking point. Want can one do. It doesn't matter if you NEVER buy over the phone (and why would you since they are all crooks) they keep calling. So I bought this device and it is wonderful. The silence in our home is so NICE! We still get a few local idiots calling, but the big red BLOCK NOW button takes care of them. I am sure my blood pressure has dropped by 15-20 points since we are no longer interrupted by these idiots every 5-10 mins. It wouldn't be so bad if the idiots would stop calling when you told them too.

I am very pleased with the CPR CallBlocker V5000.
I work from my apartment and was annoyed by all of the phone calls I was getting.
Some of these were from organizations I've donated to (
not covered by the Do Not Call registry) but I prefer to deal with them by mail.
Many were from telemarketers and illegitimate calls
("There is a problem with your computer."). I had caller ID but had to check the device whenever the phone rang.
I get relatively few calls that I actually want to answer. Since installing the V5000,
I get far fewer calls. I manually blocked a very persistent caller who represents
a number of charities and entered a code to block calls from "Unavailable". In my case, even blocked calls ring once before they are cut off
but that is on another phone on a separate jack.
If I hear the other phone ring but not the one in my work area,
I know to ignore it.

No matter how many times or how forcefully you tell these people you're not interested, they still keep calling - but not any more! It was easy to set up (use Line/Tel 1 for UK) and I have to admit I get an inordinate amount of pleasure from pressing that big red button and consigning these unwanted calls to oblivion! I've only had it a week and have already blocked the most repetitive calls and I can tell from the display some are still trying (unsuccessfully) to ruin my peace and quiet. I haven't tried the codes for Unknown, Withheld, International numbers etc. but I've no doubt they will work just as efficiently if I should need them. An excellent purchase...less aggravation and more peace of mind...I should have done this years ago...
